An end user receives a bounce message indicating that Messaging Gateway (SMG) was unable to deliver their messages and received the following response from the destination mail server:
554 5.7.1 recipient address rejected: access denied
This can also appear in the SMG Message Audit Logs for the associated message.
Release : 10.7.4
Component :
The destination mail server is rejecting message delivery for one or more recipients. This is likely due to configuration on the destination mail server or some form of anti-spam message filtering.
Since this response is being generated by the destination mail server there is no remediation for this issue in SMG. The Internet standard response to this is for SMG to send a bounce message to the original message sender and delete the message from the delivery queue.
