Issue/Introduction

Installed OC successfully, the wasp probe is also running, but not able to login the OC, getting invalid credentials error while trying to login.

 

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : Operator Console

Cause

There was no connectivity between OC and database. This is the error in the log:

Dec 28 09:38:13:500 ERROR [http-nio-80-exec-9, com.firehunter.ump.exceptions.DataFactoryException] java.sql.SQLException: Cannot create PoolableConnectionFactory (Could not connect to address=(host=uim)(port=3306)(type=master) : uim)

Resolution

Ports need to be open Inbound from OC to the chosen database. The wasp probe requires a connection to the UIM database. Ensure that the database ports between the OC and database servers are open.
