DCC files being left behind and taking up space

Issue/Introduction

Found that under the below directory you see many DCC files that are taking up space.

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\DataLossPrevention\DetectionServer\15.8.00000\temp\Crawler\

 

Resolution

DCC files are temporary files that are deleted on their own.  If something like an AV scan or something is scanning or viewing them, they can be left behind.  Make sure this directory is not being scanned. 

Next make sure no discover scans are being run of any kind.  Make sure all scans are stopped.  After this you can safely remove these files from the system.
