XCOM Data Transport - z/OS

Issue/Introduction

1) If one makes a change to one of the parameters in the XCOMCNFG file, can XCOM be refreshed without stopping and starting the started task?  Is there some sort of "reload the config" command to be issued with a modify command?

2) Is there a list somewhere of the commands than can be issued to XCOM with a modify command?

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : XCOM Data Transport for z/OS

Resolution

Answer to question 1:

The entire CONFIG member CANNOT be refreshed using commands.

Most CONFIG parameters can be dynamically changed by using the XCOM DFLT command.  However, some can't be

changed except by recycling the server.

Please consult the XCOM for z/OS 12.0 documentation for information about which parameters can be changed

on-the-fly.  Note that the changes won't be permanent unless the corresponding changes

are made in the actual CONFIG member itself.

Note: See below for the XCOM for z/OS 12.0 techdocs page that documents the DFLT command.

Answer to question 2:

One will find the information about the list of commands than can be issued to XCOM with a modify command on the following XCOM for z/OS 12.0 techdocs page:
