Advanced Configuration in Authentication scheme

Issue/Introduction

I was going through the "Authentication Scheme" option and found "Enhanced Security" in the Advanced Configuration. 

If I enable this option-

"Enable this option to secure user credentials with end-to-end encryption."

How will the password be stored? Will it have any impact on existing users?

Also, which encryption algorithm will be used for storing passwords?

Component : CA API Portal 

Resolution

The passwords are stored in encrypted form irrespective of this option. This is to encrypt passwords over the network (From UI login page to backend service). This does not have any impact on existing users/passwords.
