Application Keeps crashing whenever we start connector for Spectrum connector.

Environment

Release : 4.2

Component : Service Operations Insight (SOI) Manager

Resolution

SOI Manager was crashing due to the high number of port CIs (272K) being sent to the SOI Manager to process and was using up all the memory.

 

Customer don't use Port CIs in SOI so we configure the Spectrum connector not to get Port CIs from Spectrum.

 

We did the following to remove the port CIs from the SOI DB.

 

1) Stop all SOI services

2) Use the SOIToolbox to delete all imported data from that Spectrum connector

3) Start up the SOI manager and in the Manage debug page, put the Orphaned CI Handler in suspend mode.

4) Set getCIsAtStartUp to 1 for the Spectrum connector

5) Start the Spectrum connector
