IDM - Can you fully disable the Workflow Server Component as to not startup with IM?

Issue/Introduction

We do not leverage the Workflow Server or any functionality related to Workflow. We have been asked if it is possible to disable the Workflow Server Component so that it does not start up and consume any computer resources. Is this possible?

Release : 14.4

Component : Workflow, Workpoint, Identity Manager

Resolution

The Workflow Server Component is part of IDM.  I reviewed here and you are unable to disable or remove Workflow so it doesn't startup during IGA suite startup as to not consume any system resources.  You could delete the contents of WP*.Hist in your database to maybe help with DB load as that table would not be used but the server resources during startup would be used to startup the Workflow component even if not used by a client. 

There is not anything out of the box or within the scope of L1 to fully disable Workflow to not start with Identity Manager.

There is no out of the box configuration to remove or fully disable Workflow.
