View - Screen Frozen when invalid character pasted into Primary panel or Annotations and Bookmarks

A user did a copy-and-paste of the following string and their View Primary panel froze.

I had to delete the userid profile from View to resolve this issue. Is there a permanent resolution?

View 14.0 fix LT03825 was created to fix the frozen screen problem for the Primary panel and for Annotations and Bookmarks: 

PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:
Pasted invalid characters from the notepad/clipboard to a View or Deliver screen field causes screen field to freeze/lock and those characters are undeletable. Normally users can logoff and logon to clear the field. In extreme cases, user definition may have to be deleted.
 
SYMPTOMS:
Notepad/clipboard copied text may contain characters from X'01' to X'3F' and treated as 3270 attribute character after pressing the ENTER key. The screen field will appear locked or frozen and data cannot be deleted or modified.
