Issue/Introduction

 

Spectrum "Failure to Bind to Trap Port" alarm on the VNM model

There are no other processes using port 162. 

Environment

Spectrum 21.2.4
RHEL 7.9

Cause

The group identifier was changed on the non-root Spectrum user post install which caused the issue. 

Resolution

• Run the $SPECROOT/Install-Tools/spectrum_nonroot_prepost_install.sh
• Restart processd
• Start the SpectroSERVER
