Issue/Introduction

VcAgent.exe application is crashing on UCM Collectors.  The below error is observed in the Event Viewer.  UCM is being used to Avaya communications.

 

Environment

Release : 4.3.3

Component : NQUCM - UNIFIED COMMUICATION MONITOR

Cause

The Avaya environment is sending call and call legs that are Null.  The vcagent.exe application needs to be corrected to handle this situation.

Resolution

Development provided UCM 4.3.3 build 79 to address the issue.  They also have provided a replacement vcagent.exe that can be used.  Do one of the following:

  1. Install build 79 on the collector
    1. Download UCM 4.3.3.79
    2. Run the installer on the collector
  2. Replace vcagent.exe on the collector
    1. Download vcagent.exe to the collector
    2. Stop the UCM services
    3. Replace vcagent.exe in the VoIPMonitor\bin directory
    4. Restart the UCM services
