Issue/Introduction

Is there a way (batch or online) way to show 'TOTAL NUMBER OF REPORTS DEFINED TO DISPATCH'?

Environment

Release : 11.7

Component : Dispatch

Resolution

- Execute the DSEXCULP/CADSCULP job and produce the canned DSCULP01 "Report Distribution File Listing" report.

- Put a ? next to the output in JES, and select the SYS004 DD output.

 IDMS DATABASE EXTRACT STATISTICS
 STRINGS RETURNED FOR PATH 01 -         692
 STRINGS RETURNED FOR PATH 02 -        1902
 RECORD NAME       NUMBER READ
RD-BASE                    787
RD-RCPRPT                 2184
RD-RECIP                  2184
RD-SYSOUT                 2184
RD-PAGE                    692
**********  END OF FILE  ******************

- In the above counts, the number of RD-BASE records indicates the number of report base definitions that you have defined to the database!! And I've confirmed that this is an ACCURATE count by comparing it against the number of reports I have defined to MY database.
