Issue/Introduction

This document will guide you on how to assign a static IP to a NIC for 14.4CP1. NOTE: Additional NIC's can only be assigned once CP1 or higher has been assigned.

Environment

Release : 14.4CP1

Component : VAPP Identity Suite

Resolution

Start the nmtui tool

Select Edit a connection

Select Wired Connection 2

 

Navigate to IPv4 and Highlight <Automatic> and press ENTER then Select <Manual>

Enter in the appropriate information

Select <OK>

Select <Back>

Possible Next Step:

Navigate to Activate a connection

Select <Wired Connection 2>

Select <Activate>

 

Additional Information

Depending on the network configuration, you may need to modify the new IP to be 111.111.11.11/24
