Issue/Introduction

Trying to log in as the dradmin user in a DX NetOps Performance Management Data Repository cluster. We see the following error.

[[email protected] ~]#  su - dradmin
su: warning: cannot change directory to /home/dradmin: No such file or directory

The dradmin is the correct user.

The /etc/passwd file entry for the dradmin user confirms their home directory should be /home/dradmin yet it's not found.

When going to /home that directory exists but there is no dradmin directory underneath it.

We see the same issue for the dradmin user on all Data Repository cluster nodes.

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

The /home/dradmin directory was hosted on an nfs mounted drive. The mount to the Data Repository node had broken.

Resolution

Engage your network administrators for assistance resolving the broken nsf mount.
