Spectrum MIB-Tools is unable to find a mib oid entered into the Search field of the Navigation panel

Issue/Introduction

Spectrum MIB-Tools is unable to find a mib oid entered into the Search field of the Navigation panel. However, MIB-Tools is able to find the mib oid when entered in the Search field in the Browse tab in the Contents panel.

Component : Spectrum Applications / MIB-Tools

Cause

When running a search in the Navigation Panel of MIB Tools, it only searches for the name of the mib in the Navigation panel and not any of the attributes or oids in that mib.

For example, if you search for "SNMP-AGENT", it will find the NET-SNMP-AGENT-MIB in the list of mibs that are loaded from the Navigation Panel.

Then, if you double click on the NET-SNMP-AGENT-MIB in the list, it will take you to that mib in the Hierarchy panel.

Then you can click on the Map tab in the Contents panel to view what traps are in that mib and if they are mapped or not.

Resolution

This is functioning as designed.
