HASHLOV Data Consistency issue between different TDM implementations

Issue/Introduction

When looking at the two versions of Scramble databases, the count of the seed lists are the same, yet the data masked results are different when using the HASHLOV function on both sets of the seed list.

 

Environment

TDM 4.10 +

FDM 4.10+

Cause

The order of data in the seed list was found to be different in the two Scramble databases. This difference in the order caused the inconsistency.

Resolution

To maintain the consistency, the order of seed lists should be the same. Please check with your database team to resolve the data order issue and verify.
