Unable to start the agent after Linux OS patch update.

Issue/Introduction

After Linux O/S patching was performed on one of the agent machines, the agent will no longer start.

The following error appears in the nohup.stderr log...

dlopen: /opt/CA/WorkloadAutomationAE/SystemAgent/WA_AGENT/jre/lib/amd64/libjava.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
Please make sure the oscomponent.libjvmpath is correct

 

Environment

Release : 11.3.x/11.4.x/11.5/12.0

Component : Workload Automation System Agent

Cause

The jre directory configured for the agent was linked to another jre path that changed after the O/S patching.

Resolution

Updated the linked jre directory under the agent directory so that it pointed to a valid path.
