ACTIVITY Command - How to forbid Line Commands ?

Issue/Introduction

A group of users needs to use the ACTIVITY command, but not all line commands may be available for this user group.

How to prohibit these commands from being executed?

 

Environment

Release : 15.0 or higher

Component : SYSVIEW

Cause

Need to segregate only a few command lines.

Resolution

Actions that can be taken against jobs are controlled in the Jobnames section of security.  

To view/modify this enter:

SECURITY

Select User Groups

Select the user group that the users belongs to

Select the Jobnames Section

Create a new entry by Selecting the AddJob line, or Select an existing entry, to see all the actions you can secure for a job
Mark each action as A (Allow) or F (Fail).
