Jobs fails with Abort (9) code with Workload Automation Agent and AutoSys

Issue/Introduction

When scripts are executed, the jobs get Abort and fail.  The joblog does not show any PID.

The following error may be seen in agent transmitter/receiver logs

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : Workload Automation System Agent

Cause

If the joblog doesn't show any PID before the job is aborted, then check if any security software is blocking root (or any other user) from executing scripts.  

 

Resolution

Check software like CyberArk or CA Control Minder have rules that may prevent scripts as root.
