Password with national characters stopped working after upgrade to 21.2

Issue/Introduction

After upgrade to 21.2.2, users with national characters in password are not able to login. The issue also occurs in Spectrum 21.2.4

- create a user with password = Bjørn
- try to login to OC console, It will fail

do the same steps on 10.4.2.1 and the login is successful

 

Environment

Release : 21.2.2, 21.2.4

Component : Spectrum OneClick

Cause

This is happening because of wrong charset used for encoding. 

Resolution

The issue is planned to be fixed in the next upcoming release probably 21.2.8 that tentatively will be released in Jan/Feb 2022
