Issue/Introduction

When creating a dashboard and choosing Chart Per Item with Multiple metrics, cannot seem to be able to change the order in which it displays the different items/graphs.
The order also seems to be randomly chosen per dashboard, which can make it confusing for the end users to read.

For example, in this dashboard one would want to move the third graph to fhe first place:

Environment

All DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

The chart order in the dashboard is dictated by the first Metric selected in the list (i.e. Allocated Bandwidth the first metric selected with View Type Chart Per Item with Multiple metrics).  The report order can change if the items metric max value changes in subsequent poll cycles.

Resolution

The graphs are ordered only on the first metric. It's not possible with the IM On-Demand Multi metric to order on the device name.

The chart order in the dashboard is dictated by the first Metric selected in the list (i.e. Allocated Bandwidth the first metric selected with View Type Chart Per Item with Multiple metrics).
The report order can change if the items metric max value changes in subsequent poll cycles.
Usually when looking at metric data for diagnosis, you want to see the item with the max value first as it will probably be the source of issue. Instead of having to search through many graphs to see which one is the problem one. These are custom Views that are not like On-demand that do allow the sort by name.

While when reporting on a single Metric Family, that can be multiple Metrics, the Multi-View model does support the trend charts being order by name.

Additional Information

Suggested they could raise an Enhancement Request to incorporate name as an option within On-Demand Report (that would then be respect with Dynamic Trend View) to provide an option to report by device/item name.
