The following error appears when connecting to the SQL server during the Workflow installation:
A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL Server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is correct and that the SQL Server is configured to allow remote connections. (provider: Named Pipes Provider, error: 40 - Could not open a connection to SQL Server.

The customer is using a two-box solution, one is for Workflow and the other is for the Process Manager database.
In the image above, the Data Source is configured for (local) meaning the machine which you are installing Workflow on.
This field should reference the SQL server name as specified below.
