View - Missing report as tape was scratched

Issue/Introduction

This is regarding a missing report in View, which resided on two tapes, where the second tape was scratched. 

Can we recover the first part of the report from the tape that still exists?

Resolution

As the report in question resided on two tapes (starts on tape T0000001 and finishes on tape T0000002), if the second tape was scratched, then none of the beginning of the report can be recovered from tape T0000001, as the report needs to be in its entirety in order to be recognized in any way by View.
