Error running the API Account Utility

Issue/Introduction

The following error is returned when running the APIAccountUtility executable to generate API keys per the instructions provided in the Using REST API with Symantec ICA section of the Symantec ICA Administrator Guide:

ERROR:The EXECUTE permission was denied on the object 'spPortalSettingsGetAll', database 'RiskFabric', schema 'dbo'.

Cause

The user account under which the APIAccountUtility was run does not have the correct role or privileges assigned on the SQL Server hosting the RiskFabric database to execute stored procedures.

Resolution

Run cmd.exe under the ICA service account credentials, or as any other user that has been assigned the sysadmin role on the SQL Server hosting the RiskFabric database.
