Issue/Introduction

Opening http://localhost/wac/ is failing with error "Unable to connect to Web Service (HTTP 404)"

Environment

Client Automation - All versions

Cause

This problem could be caused if the "Site bindings" of "Default Web Site" is not configured with ipaddress of Web Console server.

Example :

In below example, only http - port 80 - 127.0.0.1 is configured in Site Bindings for "Default Web Site"

Resolution

Add the ipaddress of Web Console server in Site Bindings of "Default Web Site" or "All Unassigned" address :

or

 

Then restart tomcat and iis

caf stop tomcat

iisreset

caf start tomcat
