Issue/Introduction

This technical article provides an overview of the current SQLServer probe design of displaying metrics in the Operator Console.

Current Design:
- SQLServer probe metrics in the Operator Console are currently displayed as follows:

<ProfileName>-<CheckpointName>-<QosName/Target>-<AlarmKey>

Note: The alarm key value is usually a combination of the following:
1. <ProfileName>-<CheckpointName>-<QosName/Target>
2. <ProfileName>-<CheckpointName>

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - SQLSERVER

Resolution

Engineering and Product Management are working on implementing a feature to change this design:

<ProfileName>-<CheckpointName>-<QosName/Target>

Removing the "Alarm Key" will prevent the string from being so long and duplicates in the string.

This feature is still in the planning phase. No eta at this point.
