XCOM Data Transport XCOM Data Transport - Linux PC

Issue/Introduction

We have installed XCOM on our Redhat Linux RHEL 8.

We want to configure the XCOM to start automatically after Linux server reboot.

Could you please confirm if this functionality is available with XCOM tool.

If yes, then please share the steps we need to follow on our Linux server to configure it to auto start.

Environment

Release : 11.6

Component : XCOM Data Transport for Linux PC

Resolution

The XCOM installer does not setup the system to automatically start the xcomd deamon at system startup. Therefore you need to start it manually. The complete path to start xcomd would be /opt/CA/XCOM/sbin/xcomd or the path where you installed XCOM.

You can of course setup the xcomd deamon to start at reboot by setting the startup in the init.d so that xcomd starts automatically during system startup. Please consult with your LInux administrator.
