IDB2 Latch field on Accounting Trace Long batch report(BTACTTRL)

Issue/Introduction

The Accounting Trace Long Report (BTACTTRL) shows all the time under Suspensions (Class 3) for "Latch".  Is the "Latch" field  for DB2 or IRLM?

Resolution

The Latch field under Suspensions(Class3) for "Latch" is for DB2. Both DB2 and IRLM use latches. The accounting record may just have the total from all sources.

If you go to system stats and to option 6 (more) and then to option 10 (locks and latches) you can see them all. There are DB2 latches (option 3) and IRLM latches (option 4). But that is stats, not accounting.  There is nothing like that for Threads.
