SAML redirection for MFA for user is prompting registration even though user has credential registered already

Issue/Introduction

Certain users when trying to redirect auth for MFA, redirect is prompting for registration when the user already has credential device registered.  We checked with self serve portal and it's registered.  The user can MFA with existing radius based auth and also with adfs auth no issues.

Resolution

SiteMinder and VIP integration uses the universal ID in SiteMinder User Directory.

Please check the universal ID attribute in SiteMiner User Directory and corresponding user information. When the universal ID is not matched in previously registered one, it does in-line registration again.
