Issue/Introduction

After configure and start using the  cisco_ucs probe 2.50, we found next messages in the log file, and not sure if that could represent a problem or not.

Nov 24 14:07:21:480 [Data Collector - 10.80.226.88, cisco_ucs] Not a Double: Input Voltage Not-Applicable converted to null: For input string: "Not-Applicable"

Nov 24 14:07:21:714 [Data Collector - 10.80.226.88, cisco_ucs] Not a Double: Input Voltage Not-Applicable converted to null: For input string: "Not-Applicable"
Nov 24 14:07:21:714 [Data Collector - 10.80.226.88, cisco_ucs] Failed convert Not-Applicable to a number/boolean for Input Voltage, setting value to null

Cause

The problem seems that the returned values collected by the probe, can not be converted to a number or boolean, hence are assigned to NULL.
It seems the value returned by the device is "Not-Applicable".

Environment

Release : 20.3

Component : UIM - CISCO_UCS

Resolution

The logs include these other message, where the value returned is "Not-Applicable" instead of a number or boolean.

Nov 25 12:34:34:478 [Data Collector - 10.80.234.36, cisco_ucs] UCS inventory update completed in '9994' milliseconds

This can not be considered a problem with the probe.
The probe/monitor is only reporting that can't convert the values returned by the device for those metrics.
Maybe there are no sensors enabled for voltage, current and fan on the device?

Unless those metrics are required, you can consider this benign. If the metric is required, I suggest you to contact the vendor of the device.
