UC_ * templates / system variables - can values 2-5 be used?

Issue/Introduction

Do Value 2, Value 3, Value 4, Value 5 settings within the UC_SYSTEM_SETTINGS/CLIENT_SETTINGS/etc get read/used? Can they be used for internal settings within a company directly in the vara, as a second level of documentation?

Resolution

The use of Values 2 through 5 in system variables is not recommended.  There are already variables where more than just Value1 is used and at any time UC_SYSTEM_HOSTCHAR and UC_HOSTCHAR_* variables (and others) may be expanded to use more as well.  Our recommendation is to use the documentation tab on variable objects instead.
