Issue/Introduction

After changing the SNMP Credentials on the Data Aggregator to SNMPv3, and rediscovering the device, the Console view still shows SNMPv2.

Changed credentials for the device to v3 and did a Rediscover last week, and again today. Still no change.

The DX NetOps Performance Management Data Aggregator discovered instance of a device was updated to use SNMPv3 instead of SNMPv2c. The Data Aggregator shows successful polling using SNMPv3.

The Context Report for the device in the DX NetOps Portal web UI, on it's Details tab, shows it still using SNMPv2c.

Environment

All supported DX NetOps Performance Management releases

Cause

Device was contributed from other Data Sources aside from the Data Aggregator. In this instance from Network Flow Analysis, which was still using SNMPv2c for the devices configuration.

Resolution

Ensure all devices contributed to NetOps Portal Inventory from other Data Sources are all set to use the same SNMP version.
