Using "P mufjobname" command instead of COMM EOJ

Issue/Introduction

Currently using DBUTLTY COMM OPTION=EOJ to orderly end the MUF regions but planning to use "P mufjobname" instead. Is this advisable? Will it have any impact?

Resolution

On the "COMM EOJ (End MUF Processing)" section of Datacom 15.1 documentation, you can read:

MVS STOP

The MVS STOP console command is honored by the MUF as equal to the COMM EOJ command

Moreover, at the beginning of the same page, you can read this also:

The MUF supports being terminated as an orderly EOJ by supporting the z/OS command STOP ‘P’.

So, the MVS STOP (or simply P) command can be safely used to end the MUF in an orderly fashion.
