Datacom MUF abend S0F4 reason code 24

Issue/Introduction

Running Datacom 15.1 and the MUF abends with a S0F4 reason code 24

Restarted the MUF and it abends with the same S0F4-24 error after message DB00248I while loading modules:

Cause

At the time of the failure Datacom is loading modules from the loadlib. 
In this case the S0F4 is issued by IBM module IGWIRPGD which is part of DFSMS. 
An S0F4 abend can be caused by a corrupt PDSE library.

 

Resolution

Check the load libraries in the STEPLIB. If a PDSE library is corrupt it will have an error when trying to browse it in ISPF.

It is most likely the Datacom load library CABDLOAD (for DB)  or CAAXLOAD for (AD) containing the Datacom system  modules that has the problem.

Try using a Datacom 15.1 loadlib from another MUF or restore the library from a backup.
