PIM audit file is capturing password in a plain text

Issue/Introduction

Whenever changing the password on the PIM (CA Privileged Access Manager) target system from the Provisioning Manager, We observed that the PIM Audit file is capturing the password in a plaintext format

 

 

 

Environment

CA IDENTITY SUITE (VIRTUAL APPLIANCE) Release:14.3

PIM Endpoint 14.x

Cause

Seems to be a bug

Resolution

We had a discussion with the PIM product team and came to know that it's a bug and the Engineering team is working on it. A Defect #DE521684 has been for this issue from the PIM product side.
