Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS

Issue/Introduction

When an Object Selection Profile is used in conjunction with Custom Extract Object Conditions in an RTOS based Extract Procedure, the object selection specified in the OSP is ignored.

Environment

Release : 20.0

Component : Database Analyzer for DB2 for z/OS

Cause

Object Selection Profiles are not designed to be used with Custom Extract Object Conditions.

Resolution

Object Selection Profiles are only compatible with the provided Extract Object Conditions. They cannot be used with Custom Extract Object Conditions, that is if SQL is added via a #INCLUDE.

Database Analyzer is designed like that to avoid potential conflicts between processing the #INCLUDE SQL and an Object Selection Profile.

So when using Custom EOCs with #INCLUDEs then the OSP will be ignored.

If you wish to use Custom EOCs, then you should remove the tied OSP from the Extract Procedure and define the necessary SQL in the #INCLUDE member to further control object selection.
