Message "TN1058E SMSVSAM or MMFSTUFF dataspace not found" at startup

Issue/Introduction

At the startup of the MAT Server, the message 'TN1058E SMSVSAM or MMFSTUFF dataspace not found' is displayed.

Environment

Release : 12.0

Component : MAINFRAME APPLICATION TUNER

Resolution

The MAT server requires some services to be active, and one of these (z/OS) services is not active.

Check if PTF LU03076 is applied, if not, apply it.

Also check with the command D SMS,SMSVSAM,ALL and see if SMSVSAM is completely up and enabled.

If not, restart SMS or IPL to solve the problem..
