MSM Migrate of CSI fails: GIM50504S open failed for the global zone

Issue/Introduction

Using MSM to migrate a product CSI encounters the failure: MMR0100S- An SMP/E error occurred: GIM50504S open failed for the global zone. GIMAPI Query Finished with RC12

 

 

Environment

Release : 6.0

Component : CSM (MSM) 6.0, 6.1

Cause

The CSI was locked by an individual accessing it through ISPF SMP/E panels.

Resolution

It was necessary for the ISPF user to get out of the product CSI.  Once the lock on the CSI was released the Migrate CSI process worked successfully.
