Invalid credentials when setting up a file system Discover Target.

Issue/Introduction

You are able to log into the Windows File share successfully, but using the same credentials when setting up the Discover Target fails with invalid credentials.

Release: 15.8, 16.x

Component: Discover Scanning

Cause

Depending on what type of authentication methods you use, you may need to include the Domain name with the credentials provided.

Resolution

Add the Domain name before the credentials:

Example: Domain\UserName
