Encryption Management Server includes a script that runs automatically immediately after a backup has run. The script is empty by default. The name of the script is:
/var/lib/ovid/customization/pgpbackup-post-backup-custom.sh
If required, the script can be customized to run additional commands following each backup.
However, if the backup fails, the script fails to run. For example, if an SCP server is configured as the backup location and the upload of the backup file to the SCP server fails, the script will not run.
Symantec Encryption Management Server 10.5 and above.
To workaround this issue it may be possible to include the customizations in this script which runs immediately before each backup. This script is also empty by default:
/var/lib/ovid/customization/pgpbackup-pre-backup-custom.sh
