SYSVIEW: Cannot switch to a CICS region for a particular user

Issue/Introduction

Applying some maintenance to SYSVIEW on an lpar, all seems fine for most users, however a CICS system programmer cannot switch between CICS regions. 

Normally issuing a CICSLIST, selecting a CICS region and using CTRANS, CTAS and then getting the information for a single CICS region.

Trying to switch to a different CICS region and getting stuck on the first CICS region selected.

Deleting the GSVXPROF ISPF profile and the SYSVIEW profile from the PROFLIB dataset doesn't resolve this problem.

SYSVIEW 15.0 & 16.0 - z/OS supported releases - 

 

Resolution

From the CTRANS display, the display shows for OPTIONS:
 
Options INDEX SYSTEM MEMBER UPDATE SORT OPTIONS INFO
 
This is far too many OPTIONS and this is not correct. 
 
So delete the PROFILE for that User from the PROFLIB dataset and then create a new profile for this USER using the PROFILE CREATE,U1,U2 command.
 
CREATE,u1,u2  | Creates a new profile for user ID u1 by copying the   
                          | profile of u2. If a profile for u1 exists, then it is
                          | overlaid. Only administrators can create profiles for
                          | other users.                                          
 

It seems that the problem is actually in the user's r15.0 profile and that it is just rebuilding a new profile from this User's OLD profile.

This may be what is occurring when having a PROFILE DSN in the SCFG member.

It will just create a new PROFLIB (r16.0) member using the PROFILE (r15.0) member as input.
