CA7 Cross Instance Exit Code conditions cause Erroneous Exceeded SLA Alerts on weekends when jobstream should not be running

Issue/Introduction

Cross Instance Exit Code job conditions may cause jobstream runs when a jobstream is not actually supposed to run.

 

This may result in erroneous Alerts and/or Jobstream runs that go into an Unknown state and never complete.

Component : AUTOMIC AUTOMATION INTELLIGENCE INTEGRATION FOR AUTOSYS

Resolution

We found that jobstream runs were getting created on weekends, due to the fact that AAI does not currently support Cross Instance Exit code Conditions.

• We also found that the indicator that the Cross Instance Exit Code Condition was  a cross instance condition, was missing.

Other conditions that were cross instance in their environment, using Autosys CCI(Connect), had the ^CA7, but exit code conditions did not.

This was resolved in 6.3.1 as a resolution to Defect DE500997.

 

• Development has agreed to an Enhancement Request that would add the ability to disable alerts during certain days or times, so that false alerts would not be generated during weekends.  This enhancement will be in a future release.
