Metric data flow not initiated from SYSVIEW when the MOI appliance is initially installed

Issue/Introduction

Metric data flow from SYSVIEW was not flowing to the MOI appliance despite MOI, Message Service Server (MSS), zDataMover, and SYSVIEW being up and functional with no errors being displayed.

Component : MF OPERATIONAL INTELLIGENCE

 

Resolution

Ensure that the following adapter is ENABLED in the Message Service Server member ZMSENVT in the CAW0OPTV data set:  

ZDM_ADAPTER_ACTIVATION_STATUS=ENABLED

Valid values for activation status are:   ENABLED or DISABLED

Any other value entered besides the valid values above will result in the adapter being DISABLED.

If the ZDM_ADAPTER_ACTIVATION_STATUS=DISABLED is displayed in the MSS STC log, then no data flow to the MOI appliance will occur from SYSVIEW or any other product that communicates using the zDataMover.
