Issue/Introduction

Please advise how to solve the job AL2DCV10 with RC=08. 

AL2DCV10 JS060 - STEP WAS EXECUTED - COND CODE 0008

Seeing various errors in the Output here are some of the errors but there are more : - 

Validation completed - number of differences found:     19340 

 Extra entry found in reverted file 
      DSD  000NNNNN                 

Difference found  
0027 DSM  00000nnn

Difference found
  0017 JBD  nnnnnnn  -

Difference found  
0026 JBM1 nnnnnnnn 

Also  the following may occur:

 Missing from reverted file
      QAL7 2 0782 JOBA

Cause

The backup dataset name in AL2DCC10 (e.g. CA7.BACKUP0)  is different from AL2DCC20 (e.g. CA7.BACKUP) causing the EXPORT file to not be in sync with backup datasets.   Another possible cause is that the UNIT=  for the SORTOUT DD in the JS040  and JS050 steps may be going to TAPE instead of DASD. 

 

Resolution

Ensure that the Backup files created in  AL2DCC10 are correctly referenced in AL2DCC20 .  For the JS040 and JS050 step ensure that the SORTOUT DD reference is for UNIT=   is for DASD and not TAPE.
