Issue/Introduction

We are planning to migrate from 15.6 to 16.0 and run clarity on MS SQL Server 2016 Enterprise Edition, SP 2.

This version is supported with 15.6 and 15.9.3 but has not been mentioned in the Compatibilities guide at 16.0.0.

1. Is the support for MS SQL Server 2016 Enterprise Edition, SP 2 really dropped with 16.0.0?
2. If yes, is MS SQL Server 2017 Standard Edition supported with 16.0.0? The documentation mentions both "MS SQL Server 2017" and "MS SQL Server 2017 Enterprise"

Resolution

As of version 16.0.0, the support for MS SQL Server 2016 has been dropped. Also, Microsoft SQL Server 2017 is supported for Enterprise Edition only.
