Issue/Introduction

 

KNG0030E Cannot Find Message Number VAN0396  in Vantage log after Vantage 14.1.  

 

 

Environment

Component :

Resolution

1). A workaround is to just copy the VAN0396 member from your Vantage 14.0 library to the 14.1 libraries and that fixed the problem. 

2). We have an actual PTF to correct this:

VAN0396I MESSAGE MISSING, VAN0397I MSG TEXT UPDATED                   
                                                                      
PROBLEM DESCRIPTION:                                                  
1. The message definition for Vantage message VAN0396I is missing and causes the following message to be issued during the processing of Vantage DTOC scan:                                               
  KNG0030E Cannot Find Message Number VAN0396                         
2. Vantage message VAN0397I appears in an incorrect format.            
                                                                      
This SYSMOD ensures that VAN0396I and VAN0397I are correctly shown.   
                                                                      
SYMPTOMS:                                                             
During the DTOC scan the following messages appear in the JESMSGLG section of the Vantage STC log:  

1.KNG0030E Cannot Find Message Number VAN0396                          
2.VAN0397I DTOC for system built with 1,885,049 data sets              
 VAN0397I is shown incorrectly. The correct message is as follows:
