Windows System Agent fails to start with error "Access is denied"

Issue/Introduction

Unable to start autosys agent on windows server, got below error:
"Access is denied"

Checking the Agent version "cybAgent -v" also gives same error:
"Access is denied"

Cause

User not having the required permission.

Environment

Release : 11.3.X

Component : CA Workload Automation System Agent

OS: Windows

Resolution

Please make sure below configuration on the server:

  1. Make sure UAC (User Account Control) is disabled on the server by set to "Never Notify"
  2. The user used to start the service should be part of "Administrators" group and be granted the below User Rights under Windows "Local Security Policy" : 
    • Act as part of the operating system
    • Create a token object
    • Logon as a Service
    • Logon as a batch job
    • Replace process level tokens
