Issue/Introduction

Installing DevTest and get this error:

The problem is, there is plenty of disk space

Environment

All supported DevTest releases.

Cause

McAfee blocking the install thinking DevTest is malware.

The logi4j file shows this error (this file is written to the C:\Temp folder):

extracting C:\Users\[userid]\AppData\Local\Temp\6\e4jDCD7.tmp_dir1633698148\i4jruntime.jar (size: 1391144)
ERROR: WriteFile failed 6000 6
ERROR: Failed to extract C:\Users\[userid]\AppData\Local\Temp\6\e4jDCD7.tmp_dir1633698148\i4jruntime.jar
emptying C:\Users\[userid]\AppData\Local\Temp\6\e4jDCD7.tmp_dir1633698148

The McAfee Event log:

AMERICREDIT\CSMITH33SEC ran C:\Users\[userid]\Downloads\DevTest-Upgrade-Files\devtest_win_x64.exe, which tried to access the file C:\Users\[userid]\AppData\Local\Temp\6\e4jDCD7.tmp_dir1633698148\i4jruntime.jar, violating the rule "Writing to files commonly targeted by ransomware-class malware", and was blocked. Resolution

Need to contact the security team to get an exception for the DevTest installer to install/upgrade.
