We just made changes to the Datacom External Security definitions for DBUTLTY, using the resource class DTU in ACF2, DTUTIL in Top Secret (TSS), or [email protected] in RACF.
Do we need to issue the Datacom SECURITY RESET or SECURITY OPTION=RESET command to activate it?
Component : Datacom/AD
Component : Datacom/DB
The Security reset function only applies to the entries changed in DCT (ACF2), DCTABLE (TSS), or [email protected] (RACF) resource classes, or whichever class is used on the MUF Startup Option called SECURITY. A change for DBUTLTY security does not need the RESET processing; however, if the DBUTLTY class (DTU/DTUTIL/[email protected]) is created new, the MUF will need to be recycled to support this new class.
As always, please contact Broadcom support for Datacom if you have further questions.
