Issue/Introduction

We just made changes to the Datacom External Security definitions for DBUTLTY, using the resource class DTU  in ACF2, or DTUTIL in Top Secret (TSS), or [email protected] in RACF.

Do we need to issue the Datacom SECURITY RESET or SECURITY OPTION=RESET command to activate it?

Environment

Component : Datacom/AD

Component : Datacom/DB

Resolution

The Security reset function only applies to the entries changed in DCT (ACF2), DCTABLE (TSS), or [email protected] (RACF) resource classes. A change for DBUTLTY security does not need the RESET processing.

Additional Information

As always, please contact Broadcom support for Datacom if you have further questions.
