"Process - Start" event does not get triggered

Issue/Introduction

We have a process that is set to trigger when an update happens against a specific attribute in the "Benefit Plan" object. We notice that it does not get triggered even when the defined condition is met. It has been observed that the "Process - Start" event is not being registered in the Process Engine (in Administration -> Process Engine - Events tab).

Environment

Version: 15.9.2.

Resolution

It was observed that JDBC Ping was not implemented in this environment. Deploying JDBC Ping resolved this issue. Kindly go through the documentation for JDBC Ping, for details of how to implement this functionality.
